Head Instructor, Laguna Beach Dojo
Master Jeff Kash is a 6th Degree Black Belt and the proud owner of Laguna Beach Dojo. Having begun his martial arts training in the mid-1990s, he earned his Black Belt in 2001, and subsequently achieved his Master Ranking in 2016. As a student of the esteemed Master Josh George, Master Kash has dedicated himself to his craft. He has been teaching martial arts in the Laguna Beach community for over 24 years.
Master Kash’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that martial arts is about far more than just physical movement—it is a tool for building discipline, confidence, and community. From a student's very first class, he is deliberate about instilling qualities that extend far beyond the mat, ensuring they develop character traits and skills that will help them be successful in all areas of their lives. He views the journey to black belt as a lifelong path, preparing his students for college, careers, and whatever challenges life may bring.
At the dojo, Master Kash has cultivated an environment where students of all ages feel safe, supported, and inspired to consistently pursue excellence all while having lots of fun!
Whether he is teaching high-energy kids' classes or guiding adults through Kempo Karate, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi, he is deeply committed to his students' physical and mental growth.
Outside of the dojo, he is a proud Oregon State graduate. Known for his tall stature (which makes him a fan of "kicking people from 20 feet away") he humorously notes that his dislikes include middle seats in coach and the University of Oregon.

Instructor, Laguna Beach Dojo
Senpai Jaleesa is a dedicated martial artist and instructor at Laguna Beach Dojo. As a local mom she brings a deep passion for the martial arts, family, and personal empowerment and safety. She originally joined the dojo with her family, a choice she describes as one of the best decisions they ever made for both herself and her children. Having experienced firsthand the profound physical and mental growth the program provides, she is dedicated to sharing that same transformative experience with her students.
Modeling self-discipline and perseverance, Jaleesa trains in both Shaolin Kempo Karate, Tai Chi Quan and Qigong daily. She has a strong focus on understanding not just how techniques work, but why they work—an approach that translates directly into clear, effective instruction.
As an instructor, she is especially passionate about helping women and children feel confident, capable, and prepared. Her fundamental teaching (and the absolute truth she aims to instill in women) is a powerful message: "You are valuable, you are worth fighting for, and you are capable of doing so!"
Jaleesa creates a welcoming and supportive learning environment while holding high standards for technical precision. Her ability to break down movements, explain their purpose, and meet students where they are makes her an excellent role model for students, whether they are just beginning or refining their self-defense practice.
